Every Badge And Talkalot new chapter in music is what music lovers need. Very well done to the whole team.
Favorite track: Oh Love (feat. Ian Whitelaw).
Badge And Talkalot returns to the lead of a new team after signing the last two albums 'Spaghetti Blaster' and 'Fragments Of The Soul' (featuring, among others, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Lisa Kekaula) for Ropeadope Records and comes full circle with the remix EP 'Refractions' which counts on the collaboration of Kaidi Tatham and more.
The journey now continues with 'The Gap'. An authentic and multifaceted work that aims at the essence of form, both in the arrangements and in the tracklist, organized into eight tracks to pay homage to the classic albums designed for the vinyl version.
The title has a double meaning: on one hand the acronym that comes from the names of the three composers, on the other the representation of a suspended moment which brings a change of perspective.
'The Gap' is soul, jazz, hip hop.
Entirely conceived by Gilberto Caleffi (sampling), Andrea Cappi (keyboards), Paolo Zoboli (bass) with a handful of special guests, 'The Gap' comes out with the clear intent of creating music without borders that speaks directly to the soul.
The album tracks are enriched by the vocal contributions of Steven Bamidele (Tru Thoughts), Ian Whitelaw, Quelle Chris (Mello Music), Lojii, Brint Story, JazzZ, Fae Simon.

Badge and Talkalot is the brainchild of Gilberto Caleffi.
The name comes from a famous Robert De Niro’s sentence in The Untouchables movie by Brian De Palma (“You're nothing but a lot of talk and a badge!”).
